Canine Beauty Ltd Terms & Conditions
1. General Agreement
By booking an appointment with Canine Beauty Ltd, you (the owner or authorised agent) agree to the following terms and conditions. These are in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of your pet, yourself, and our staff.
2. Health and Welfare
- Owners must inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, injuries, behavioural issues, or aggressive tendencies.
- If your pet is found to have fleas, a flea treatment charge will apply and you will be required to pick up your dog.
- If your dog is excessively matted, we may need to clip the coat short in line with the Animal Welfare Act 2006, which prioritises the pet's comfort over aesthetics.
- Please ensure your dog has been to the toilet before the groom so they are comfortable throughout.
- We will cut nails as close to the quick as possible but will not go shorter than is necessary.
3. Aggressive or Difficult Dogs
- We reserve the right to refuse or stop grooming if a dog becomes aggressive or too stressed, for the safety of staff and the animal.
- A handling fee may apply for dogs requiring extra time or additional staff to manage safely.
4. Missed Appointments and Cancellations
- Please give at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations.
- Missed appointments or late cancellations will incur a fee (50% of the appointment cost).
- Late arrivals (over 15 minutes) will result in a £20 charge, and are liable to being cancelled.
5. Pricing and Payment
- All prices are subject to change based on coat condition and behaviour.
- Payment is due on collection (cash or card). Late payment may incur fees or refusal of future bookings.
6. Accidents and Emergencies
- While we take every precaution, accidents can happen. In the event of injury or emergency, we will contact you immediately.
- If we cannot reach you, we will act in the best interests of the dog and may seek veterinary assistance. You are responsible for any related costs.
7. Photographs and Media
- We may take photographs of your dog before/after grooming for use on social media or promotional materials.
Please let us know if you do not consent to this.
8. Data Protection
- Your information is kept securely and will never be shared with third parties unless required by law.
9. Collection
- Dogs must be collected promptly at the agreed time. Late collection may result in a charge.
10. Liability and Veterinary Treatment
- We take every precaution to ensure your dog’s safety and comfort during grooming. However, grooming equipment is sharp, and pets may move unexpectedly.
- In the rare event of an accident or if your dog becomes unwell while in our care, we will seek immediate veterinary attention if necessary.
- You will be contacted as soon as possible, but we reserve the right to seek veterinary treatment on your behalf if we believe it to be in the best interest of your dog and cannot reach you.
- You are responsible for all veterinary costs incurred, including emergency treatment and any follow-up care.
- Canine Beauty Ltd will not accept liability for pre-existing conditions, underlying health issues, or conditions arising after the groom that are not caused directly by our negligence.
